This policy explains what happens to information you give us through this website. It applies to this site only, not to any other site we link to.
2. What we collect
Information you give us directly
When you submit a form on this site, we receive what you typed into it. Depending on the form that may include:
- Your name and business name
- Phone number and email address
- Your website address
- Your service area, industry, budget range or monthly spend, where the form asks
- Whatever you write in the message field
We ask for a name and phone number because we need a way to reply. Everything else is optional and exists to make our first response more useful.
Information collected automatically
Like nearly every website, our hosting and analytics receive standard technical information when you visit: IP address, browser and device type, referring page, pages viewed and time of visit. This is used in aggregate to understand how the site is being used.
Our calculators and tools
The free calculators on this site do not send us anything. Every tool — the conversion calculator, A/B test simulator, deliverability checker, reach planner and the rest — runs entirely in your browser. The numbers you type are never transmitted to us or to anyone else, and we cannot see them. That is deliberate.
3. How we use it
We use what you submit to:
- Reply to your inquiry and, where relevant, prepare the free audit you asked for
- Provide services if you become a client
- Keep records of what was agreed and delivered
- Improve the website and understand which pages are useful
- Meet legal, tax and accounting obligations
We do not sell your information. We do not rent it, trade it, or add you to a marketing list you did not ask to join. If you contact us about one thing, we will reply about that thing.
4. Who we share it with
We share information only where necessary to run the business:
- Form processing. Form submissions are delivered by a third-party form service, which handles the message in transit.
- Email and hosting providers. Our email and website infrastructure providers process data as part of delivering those services.
- Analytics providers. Aggregate website usage data.
- Advertising platforms, for clients only. If you engage us, we work inside advertising and analytics accounts that you own. We do not transfer your customer data between clients, ever.
- Legal requirements. Where we are required by law to disclose information.
5. Cookies and tracking
This site uses cookies for basic functionality and for analytics that tell us which pages people read. We may also use advertising pixels to measure whether our own advertising works.
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, and the site will continue to work. Most browsers also offer a do-not-track setting; support for it across the web is inconsistent, and we would rather say that plainly than claim otherwise.
6. How long we keep it
Inquiries that do not become clients are kept for up to two years, so we have context if you come back. Client records are kept for the duration of the engagement and for seven years afterward, which is what our accounting and tax obligations require. You can ask us to delete your information sooner and we will, except where we are legally required to retain it.
7. Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- Tell you what information we hold about you
- Correct anything that is wrong
- Delete it
- Stop contacting you
Email or call us and we will action it. There is no form to fill in and no fee. We will confirm your identity first, because handing someone else's data to the wrong person would be a worse outcome than a small delay.
8. Colorado residents
Under the Colorado Privacy Act, Colorado residents have the right to access, correct, delete and obtain a portable copy of their personal data, and to opt out of targeted advertising, the sale of personal data and certain profiling. We do not sell personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. If we decline a request you may appeal, and we will respond to an appeal within the timeframe the Act requires.
9. California residents
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended, California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected and how it is used, to request deletion, to request correction, to opt out of sale or sharing, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA. To make a request, contact us using the details below.
10. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect information in transit and at rest, including encrypted connections across the entire site. No system is perfectly secure and anyone who tells you otherwise is overselling. We limit what we collect in the first place, which is the most reliable protection available.
11. Children
This site is intended for businesses and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of the page. Material changes affecting how we handle information already collected will be communicated directly to anyone affected.
